PACS Tip - Radiologists in iRad
Q: How do I toggle between iRad and PowerScribe easer, using the same monitor?
A:
a) Change your machine preferences à Navigation console size from full screen to 1024x768 (see below)
b) Once you have changed the preference you will need to log out and then back in for the change to take place.
c) Note this change is "not" a user preference, but a machine preference so the next user will have the same settings, if they would like full screen settings they would have to change the setting back and then again reboot.
PACS Tip - Keyboard Shortcuts
User roles: Radiologists and others who use PACS with PowerScribe integration
There are several shortcut keys in PowerScribe that are also used for entirely different functions in iRad. It can be confusing to know which application is 'listening' for your shortcut keys, so be very careful when using them. F9 is a dangerous example:
F9 in iRad: Simultaneously loads the previous current and prior series (if available) in the exam rack onto the diagnostic monitors.
F9 in PowerScribe: Sign the current report
Most shortcut keys can be re-assigned in iRad via the User Preferences menu (click on the "P" in the upper right-hand corner of the main screen)
