Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship
The UUHSC Interventional Neuroradiology service is an Intermountain West referral center with state-of-the-art equipment including a Siemens biplane neuroangiography suite with 3D angiography and DynaCT capabilities, 64-slice and 128-slice CT scanners, and two 1.5T MR scanners located at the University Hospital. Our service also provides neurointerventional coverage for the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Salt Lake City VA Hospital and Primary Children¿s Medical Center. We are a key component of the Neurosciences service line and the Neuroradiology Section has an academic track record that is second to none. The service performs over 600 neuroangiographic procedures a year including some 150 neurointerventions, approximately 800 spinal pain management procedures, and is responsible for CT and fluoroscopically guided biopsies of the spine and head & neck.Responsibilities include performing and interpreting neuroangiographic and spinal interventional procedures, image guided biopsies of the head/neck and spinal axis, patient consultations, and preparation of weekly neurovascular conferences for other fellows and medical students. Approximately one academic day per week is allowed, as scheduling permits.

The Interventional Neuroradiology Service at UUHSC is now accepting applications for a dedicated one year fellowship program commencing July 2012 for subspecialty training in the rapidly expanding fields of neuro-endovascular surgery/interventional and therapeutic neuroradiology. Prospective candidates will be considered for admission to this program contingent upon successful completion of at least one year of subspecialty diagnostic Neuroradiology fellowship training. Candidates must have a strong commitment to an academic career with demonstrated interest and ability in clinical care, research and teaching.
