Living in Utah
Utah
The 45th state offers convenient four season access to the beautiful outdoors. In the summer, residents enjoy biking, golfing, rock climbing, camping, hiking, fishing and boating in the Wasatch Mountains east of Salt Lake City and throughout the State. You can find more information on these activities at Utah.com. And Utah's five national parks (along with nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks) provide easy access for weekend enjoyment of some of the most spectacular scenery in the United States. In the winter, Utah offers even more for the outdoor enthusiast. As host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Utah boasts 12 world-class ski resorts, snowboarding, ice skating, and scenic cross-country skiing.

In Utah's capital you'll find a wide variety of metropolitan activities including performing arts, sports, shopping, and a mix of restaurants, brew pubs, and dance clubs. The City hosts an International Jazz Festival and a free Twilight Concert Series each summer. Red Butte Garden near the University of Utah has entertaining programs for all ages, and its summer concert series brings in top performers at one of the nicest outdoor venues in the State. Also on the University campus are the Utah Museum of Natural History and the Utah Fine Arts Museum.
